Weekly Wrap Up: July 23, 2018 #ARWX

Welcome to another Weekly Wrap Up! This week saw extremely hot temperatures across Arkansas (with places seeing well over 100F and 100F heat index), as well as a major storm traveled through portions of the state yesterday evening (Hot Springs was spared the brunt of it). In terms of actual rain, Hot Springs didn’t get much rain out of the severe weather events over the past week. Here’s a look at the rain totals on my CoCoRaHS rain gauge in Hot Springs.

Here’s a look at current temperatures across the state this evening (from both NWS and Earth Networks weather stations), as well as a look at current conditions from Earth Networks weather stations across Arkansas this evening (maps and images courtesy of Baron Threat Net and Earth Networks Sferic Maps).

Here’s a look at the seven-day extended forecast for Hot Springs. Still hot next week, although a slight “relief” from the extreme temperatures we had this week (if you can even call it relief!).

Here’s a look at some interesting weather news over the past week (the first two are from Earth Networks, the rest are from WeatherNation):

Lastly, here’s a look at some featured weather reports from our team of contirbutors over the past week. Kevin Shaw has been out on medical leave, and Harry Hayfield has been out on Internet issues. I hope Kevin gets well soon and Harry has Internet funcitoning again soon as I miss their weather reports!

That wraps it up here! Nathan Parker signing off!
