Weekly Wrap Up: April 7, 2018 #ARWX

Welcome to another Weekly Wrap Up! Unfortunately, my weather station started having major issues last weekend, so I am unable to post current conditions or this week’s past temperatures from my weather station on here. I’m working with Earth Networks to work on getting the issue resolved coming up (likely my weather station is going to need to be replaced). In the meantime, we’ll get straight to this week’s rainfall from my CoCoRaHS rain gauge in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Here is a look at the current temperatures across Arkansas (both NWS and Earth Networks weather stations), plus Arkansas will be under a Freeze Warning beginning at 1AM Sunday morning for the entire state (maps courtesy of Baron Threat Net and Earth Networks Sferic Maps).

Here’s a look at the Future Temperatures map for 1AM Sunday from the Baron forecast model, WSI 4K RPM model, and the GFS, NAM 3K, and HRRR forecast models (some maps courtesy of Tropical Tidbits). Some models are tending to shift the temperatures to the warm side. Likely a combination of the Baron and HRRR are going to be the most accurate temperatures this evening.

Here’s a look at the seven-day extended forecast for Hot Springs. A few minor rain chances this week, and while it’s freezing tonight, we’re headed for a warm up next week!

Here’s a look at some interesting weather news over the past week:

Finally, here’s a look at some weather reports from our team of WeatherTogether contributors this past week:

That wraps it up here! Nathan Parker signing off!
