Welcome to another Weekly Wrap Up and have a Happy St. Patrick’s Day! This week brought a warm up to the Natural State reminding us that Spring and Summer are around the corner! We also saw a few sprinkles of rain this week, but not much. Take a look at this week’s past temperatures on my Earth Networks weather station here in Hot Springs, as well as a look at the few sprinkles of rain we received on my CoCoRaHS rain gauge in Hot Springs.
Here’s a look at current conditions on my Earth Networks weather station in Hot Springs, as well as a look at current temperatures across the state this evening (both NWS and Earth Networks weather stations). Here’s also a look at the current high-res radar for Arkansas and the FutureScan radar for 11:00 PM, plus a look at the Earth Networks PulseRad lightning intensity (not traditional radar) and lightning near Arkansas (maps courtesy of Baron Threat Net and Earth Networks Sferic Maps). The Natural State could see another round of storms move through tomorrow, which I’ll be monitoring and tracking on my Twitter. The Baron forecast model shows the storms moving into Hot Springs around 4PM. The WSI RPM model shifts them to the west a little around that time, with the NAM 3K keeping them still in Oklahoma. The HRRR is only going out to 3PM at the moment, but it’s showing the storms moving into Hot Springs around 3PM (some maps courtesy of Tropical Tidbits and AllisonHouse Maps).
Here’s a look at the rainfall accumulations for midnight Monday for the Baron and WSI RPM models. The GFS and NAM 3K are for 1AM Monday.
Here’s a look at the seven day extended forecast for Hot Springs. Expect high temperatures mostly in the 60’s to 70’s with increasing rain chances as we get into next weekend.
