Welcome to another Weekly Wrap Up! This week saw beautiful weather and finally mostly a break from the rainfall (only a little fell this week). It’s beginning to feel like Spring across Arkansas, and parts of the week were also extremely windy. Today saw a round of severe weather in parts of the state, although Hot Springs missed the brunt of the severe weather event. Here’s a look at the temperatures this past week from my Earth Networks weather station in Hot Springs, as well as a look at what little rain we received on my CoCoRaHS rain gauge this week.
Here’s a look at the current high-res radar across Arkansas, as well as a look at the 1 Hr FutureScan radar showing the severe weather situation across the state. Here’s also a look at the Severe Threats map for SW Arkansas showing flooding, hail, and wind shear potentials. Additionally, here’s a look at the damaging wind paths across Arkansas over the past 30 minutes. Here’s also a statewide look at lightning and PulseRad lightning intensity (not traditional radar) with purple polygons indicating an Earth Networks Dangerous Thunderstorm Alert (maps courtesy of Baron Threat Net and Earth Networks Sferic Maps).
Here’s a look at the current conditions from my Earth Networks weather station in Hot Springs, as well as a look at temperatures across the state this evening (both NWS and Earth Networks weather stations).
Here’s a look at the seven day extended forecast for Hot Springs. Expect high temperatures to increase from the 50’s to 70’s with partly coudy to mostly clear skies with rain chances increasing when we get to next weekend.
