The National Weather Service in Little Rock, Arkansas, sent out a tweet tonight containing a GIF animation of GOES-16 satellite data tracking storms in Northwest Arkansas. It was interesting to get a look at GOES-16 satellite data in action. Here is a glimpse of the tweet:

The Next Generation Weather Lab at the College of DuPage has also rolled out an experimental GOES-16 satellite data website to get a fun sneak preview of the experimental GOES-16 satellite data. It is an excellent free place to get one’s hands on GOES-16 data before it gradually, officially rolls out into public and commercial weather services.
